I am looking at getting some aftermarket control switches as trying to find good condition used is near impossible. Has anyone replaced theirs with aftermarket ones and what ones did you get. I am looking for general ideas as what to go for.

I could be wrong, but I think the early FZ switch blocks are identical or very close.

Scottie,

I do have one "general idea" here for you.  When I needed a "new" switch assembly, I just bought several of them from eBay.  All of them had problems, but no two units had the same malfunctions.  I was able to mix & match the good parts of several units to make an ideal replacement, for the trusty 1985 FJ1100.  It was easy; maybe not quite as easy as just swapping in a new unit, but I knew that every part of the switch assembly was now OEM and good.
.
Cheers,
Red

P.S. Life is too short, and health is too valuable, to ride on cheap parade-duty tires.
