I was looking for something and this popped up on my main page on youtube. The whole video I had a big smile on my face watching this guy ride. At the end when the Suzuki rider gives the old "can't believe I got beat" head shake; I actually started laughing out loud. Thought I would give a share and a smile or two hopefully as well.

I didn't see the headshake but the flat track bike was clearly more set up for that type of racing.  Mr Yellow Jersey didn't even look like he was trying all that hard.  He made it look easy.

Many years ago at Firebird raceway in Phoenix I saw a similar kind of race result.  600cc 4 stroke/350 2 stroke class. Mostly CBR, Ninja and GSXR with one RZ350 and a dirt bike. No, it was not the dirt bike. The RZ just tooled around the back till about 7 laps to go. Then sliced through each lap to take the lead and win.  The dirt bike winning would have simply been too funny.

Old Rider

LOL that was funny Not always better with wide tires.Had a similar experience last sunday when i was on a little trip on my way home i first heard and then saw a bike right up my reartire i was going thru many roundabauts and as he was a little to close to my reartire trying to pass me in the roundabouts.I got a little irritated and i got over in sporty driving mode, he still followed and then when we entered the ongoing ramp for the freeway it is a very long slack lefthand turn i first let him pass and he rolled on the throttle so much he dared without loosing grip i saw it was a honda cbr100rr in repsol color as he passed me.I then got carried away and thinking what the heck i dont want to be humiliated by this guy so i rolled on throttle much as i could without losing the rear thru the long turn when the road straightens he had about 10 meters on me i got into beastmode and ozed on what i could first got into kookalaozone then over in blurredtunnelvision mode (i completely forgot my engine mayby not safe with bad noises) i cold se him slowly drifting away but not much going like this for about one kilometers i was going to take off the freeway to the right he did also
take off then i was about 30 meters behind him i braked late into the takeoff turn.Going thru the corners right after we had left the freeway i was right behind him he turn his head to look back first once then  twice  :yahoo:  i bet he was surprised seeing me again =)
usally i try to not get carried awaydriving like idiot but wow that was fun and showed that the god old FJ still got it. :good:

The guy was KILLING them on corner entry speed.

He could hold the throttle open for several seconds after they lifted and get back into it quicker.

The next video is even better.  5 sportbikes and him.

He goes around everyone on the outside in the first 2 corners and has the lead by the time they hit the backstretch then walks away.

Love the custom handlebars...

upright sitting, crazy handlebars and skinny tires.  Wow.    I almost forgot the football shoulder pads.

Big smile here too. If he had a giant orange Muppet head on I would have died. Dude looked like Lurch.

That video never gets old.  (popcorn) It's almost surreal how well that flat track bike works.
