Another quick question

Another bluebird day here the fowl hunters must be a bit miffed. Anyway is it possible or adviseable to remove ALL the valve shims at once? or must you go a couple at a time?replace them and jump to the next two?

More experienced minds here might correct me but I think that as you rotate the engine, and by extension rotating the cams, you need the shims to protect the cam lobes on the valves you are NOT trying to currently adjust.

You can use a quarter to take the place of any shim you remove so you can rotate the cams.

If you rotate the cams with the shims out of the bucket the edge that holds the shim will damage the cam lobes.

I would advise against Canadian Quarters the moosehead will get in the way -- antlers can damage the lobes too
