It's listed in the Files/FJ Modification Files/Spin On Oil Filter section here.

I believe the NAPA number listed in the original post is a replacement for the stock FJ canister filter, not a spin-on.

I'm currently using the Fram 6607 (Nissan) but have an excess supply of the Fram 3675 (Small Block Chevy) filters that I will be switching to in the future.

Not sure which one is black, but I like the Fram bright orange and black.  I would like to get the adapter anodized black at some point in the future.

With a black bug bomb any of the filters will be black.

Mark,

Napa Gold #1381 or PureOne #PL10193-(I like this one)

I have a WIX 51357 sitting here for when I get around to installing the spin on adapter.  The WIX filter is black.. blend in better..

If I can find the sheet that Randy included with the adapter listing the filters I'll post up the rest.

Of course, the BEST filter is the Amsoil EAO 20 filter, best used with  AMSOIL - SAE 10W-40 Synthetic Motorcycle Oil (MCF) or 10W-30 Synthetic Motorcycle Oil (MCT), or SAE 20W-50 Synthetic Motorcycle Oil (MCV).

Available from a FJ lost source, of course ...

Thanks for listening.

I believe it is the Honda Accord. Not sure what engine. I have been using the Amzoil EA0 20. Is a little pricier than some but its nice and shiny black and a good quality filter. And besides, its for the FJ...nuttin but da best.... :good:

I also have a Napa Gold filter on the shelf that is shiny black. Its a NGF 1334. Haven't used it yet but i'm sure it'll fit.

Here is what Randy listed on the directions with the spin on adapter.

WIX 51347 (long) or 51357 (short).  He says he uses the "long" filter for summer months.

AC-Delco PF1222
Amsoil EOA-20
K&N 202
Purolator PL10193

Lastly Randy states that WIX makes filters for Napa and if you drop the "5" off the WIX part number you can get the same filter at NAPA.

Thanks for the replies,  all my rally buddies and David R.

I had lost my instructions for the spin on filter and Randy e-mailed me a new set after this post. Thanks Randy.

The fj goes into retro fit tomorrow and will emerge a better machine.

We gonna make fun of all the non spinners at the wcr ? :blum1:

Kinda interesting once you ALREADY know which one to use. His article on filters is interesting also.
