Thought I would start a thread to cover last weekends International Festival of Speed at the Sydney Motorsport Park Friday through Sunday.

This year I wasn't riding due to one of my TZ750's not being ready in time, but one of my racing buddies took the Gauloise bike out as I had promised him the ride.

I was also giving mechanic Duggy Flack a hand with Jeremy McWilliams Harris FJ1200 as Jezza was back in the country for this event. The bike ran relatively fault free with some one race marred by fuel surge problems which Doiug and I had agreed was a low fuel level, but which Jeremy insisted we strip and check the carbs and fuel flow. (You don't argue with an ex GP rider!)

We had a great weekend, and my work was mainly getting tyres changed, fuelling, operating the starter trolley and remembering to remove the Scitsu Tacho plug. ( We did have to down to turn one and retrieve it from the grass verge once........those eyes can be very piercing when they are not pleased!)

Saw Alf and Alan at the track, and was able to return Alfs 17mm spanner that he had snuck in my tool roll at the last manshed day 

The TZ ran ok until the weather got a bit hot and started to overheat so Wayne parked it for the last race on the Sunday (I know what the problem is) The old Avons were a bit old & scary so invested in a new set of Metzeler Racetec RR's
