FJ12IRL

Hi all,
I'm Nigel and I'm one of those "Born again Bikers" and have decided I'd make my return to Biking on a '91 FJ1200 ABS.
I rode a lot of different bikes from a Kawasaki KH100ex, RD350LC's (4 of them!) RD500LC V4, FZR1000 Genesis and EXUP to my last bike in '02 a Suzuki Bandit 600.
Although I didn't own a bike for 15 years, I always knew one day I'd get another one..
So I came across this FJ in a local buy and sell website at the right money, went to see it expecting it to be a bit worse than in the photos but to my surprise it wasn't! It is a Japanese own market model 4CC with only 30k kms on it, totally standard but there's a lot of corrosion as it stood outside in the Irish weather for a few years...
I look forward to learning about this fine motorcycle from you all.

Welcome Nigel!
We have come to know that there are certain men who are secure in their masculinity, and thus owning a FJ with a pink stripe is not an issue for them.
We love to tease the "pink stripers" especially from the FJ guys who own the red and white ambulances.

We love to kid around here as you will soon see....

Again, welcome to the FJ brotherhood.....let us know how we can assist you. We do have a couple of your Irish FJ brothers on this forum. Take a read thru our Files Section. See my signature line.

Cheers. Pat

Welcome to the 'hood.  As long as the paint and plastic are in good shape, attacking the corrosion is just a matter of some time, elbow grease and a couple of tubes of simi-chrome.  :)  RPM is your friend for consumables.

Welcome to the forum!  Another FJ resurrected!

Hi and Welcome to the forum.

There have been quite a few of us that are "Born Again Bikers". We all seem to have similar stories too. Had bikes. Got married. Had kids. Sold bikes. Got divorced. Got Bikes again.
There is plenty of knowledge about FJ's here, and if youcan't find it in the files section, just ask.

Have fun
