Greetings all.   I am trying to source a GXR 17"X5.5 rear wheel.  I live in east central Alabama.  There is a motorcycle savage yard about 20 miles from me but it has been closed due to the owners death.  I have tried without any luck in finding out who will inherit all of the parts.  The next closest place is in Tifton GA but all of the reviews I read about them are not good.  In fact they are down right horrible.
I have a 89 Fj1200 and have installed the RPM rear shock as well as rebuilt the front forks with the RPM valves.  The handling is AMAZING now.  It's like a totally different bike.  I need the rear wheel so I can get some good rubber to the road.

Any information will be most appreciated.

Thanks

Fred is a good resource for finding this kind of stuff. Calling in Avationfred....
The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.

Here is a GSXR 1100 rear wheel that will work. It does have straight spokes. I am close to doing a GSXR rear wheel install myself. Here is a photo of the 1998 GSXR1100 rear that I will be installing.

Here is the eBay link for the wheel that is available.

I will see if I can find a curved wheel version.
