Jet Hot exhaust

I'd like to have my head pipes and collector coated, any advice?

Some places won't do it unless they're new.

Ask around locally, and make them show you their work.

The stock header pipes are painted stainless steel.  You could remove the paint and polish up the stainless.

I have never used Jet Hot, but from what others have said they will coat used exhaust parts.  From what I remember people have been happy with their work and service.

Jet Hot quoted me US$140 a couple of years ago to coat the headers and collector with the Extreme Sterling.

For that price, I decided to polish the headers and get one of the nice ss collectors that Bill posted a while back.  I can't find the link to it now (hint).

Haven't done it yet, though... it's on my Spring do list.

I figure that if stock XJR exhaust can be made to fit, the slip-ons for the XJR should fit. The collector is the same part.

I hadn't seen the cans though... those look nice!  And they look like they would probably fit with the Givis, too.

It would be nice to have one of those one this spring, but I'm trying to work a Penske into the budget, and a little birdie tells me I may need to find employment soon if things don't turn around.  Time will tell.

I suppose that would mean that mine aren't painted? They're like a soft brown color (but not corroded...well...maybe at the engine a little)  I'm curious if the previous owner had done this already

Break out the scotchbrite and some polishing stuff, and find out.   Maybe find out down low so you can hide it with the bellypan if you dislike it.
