This is nuts. It's later October and we're having some of the best riding weather in Ontario ever. Clear sky and just the right temperature.

I think that everyone with a bike was out riding Sunday; the Tim Horton's parking lots were full. Seriously full. Never seen it that busy. I had a great ride up to Haliburton. Even saw a '92 or '93 FJ coming the other way on Hwy. 118 (it was going west in the early afternoon).

A great day on the FJ. And likely one of the last rides of the season.

Yes it was a glorious day for a Sunday fall colors ride...if you look close, you can see some trees in color.   :pardon:

There were plenty of motorcycles out for a Monday (today) too. It started to rain in southern Ontario around 3:30 p.m. but nothing nasty, like what I seem to attract!
My FJ went into storage last Saturday. Because of other plans this fall I needed to put it away now. I was very late starting my riding season this year so this extension of mild weather has been great. Every sunny day is welcome.

My final ride was a loop on Friday to Collingwood, along the lakeshore to Thornbury and south through Beaver Valley. The fall colours were not up to par. I was in Muskoka by car on Sunday and the same thing. A friend of mine lives at the south end of Southwood Rd., if you know it. Normally I need at least one trip to Haliburton and Dorset to feel right but it didn't happen. That's my personal 'comfort country'.

Now I'll spend the off season imagining the maintenance and upgrades I could do to the FJ and tallying up the imaginary money it will cost, because there is not enough real money to do it all.
