FJ Owners Accolades

Not enough Accolades:

Without question, there is not enough praise for Alan Firehawk068.  I cannot thank him enough for the help he extended to me.  When my FJ suffered a complete electrical failure in the mountains of Colorado, leaving work early Alan drove for over five hours one way to trailer the FJ to his home for repairs.  Finally arriving at his home at 3:30 a.m. the following morning, we spent the next two days diagnosing, inspecting and repairing a variety of relays, switches, and fuses and the rewiring of several items.

Also due a considerable amount of recognition is Chris FJ1289.  Without his additional input, diagnoses ability and spare components the repairs would not have been accomplished.  It should be noted that if Alan had been unable to trailer my FJ, Chris was willing and able.  Not once, but twice on successive days, he drove a considerable distance to Alan's home with replacement components that had been damaged.

I cannot express the gratitude I have for the fine effort of both these gentlemen.  Their camaraderie and rapport is unique.  Their abilities to inspect, diagnose and repair the many electrical issues is quite a talent and although perhaps equaled by others, it is certainly not surpassed by anyone.

I would also like to thank Alan's wife for her patience & understanding while Alan, Chris and I spent long days and evenings taking apart, repairing & then reassembling the motorcycle.  Although she had a busy schedule planned and young children to care for, Mrs. Firehawk graciously prepared breakfast, lunch and dinner for the three of us.  Never without a smile and always good natured, one could only wonder if she didn't consider the three of us as just additional children!

I'll have another post soon with the problem(s), possible causes and results of our findings.

Ride safe,

Mike Ramos.

A great example of FJ camaraderie at its finest and a couple of thoroughly decent blokes to boot.

Yep, I would have sold my FJ years ago if not for you guys....

Alan and Chris are the best, no doubt.
