I agree.  Yamaha used a lot of different colors / graphics on the 1200 over its many years of production - no doubt to try to keep it looking fresh in the showroom.  But that shade of blue isn't something I can remember seeing and looks pretty good.

Fjbiker.the color is montery metallic,Napa did a color search for me so I could get my new belly pan painted to match,at first I thought it was teal.its a odd color im dealing with it till I paint her

Is this the colour?  The paint has blue pearl in it from the factory. There is 2 types of pearl. A small flake and a larger flake. It's the larger flake that's used. It's not much different but when matched thats what is used. I didn't think it true until shown. I took the Bike to get paint matched from a paint company. Perfect reproduction. First thought when I saw it that is was nothing like it. Then once coated with clear coat What a difference. I had to get the tank repainted as the clear coat seperated.
