hello all. i have doubled up on my clutch springs and now am having problems with the slave cylinder.the slave isn't pushing in far enough to disengage teh clutch.  i just ordered a rebuild kit. any suggestions  on an upgrade for the clutch master. i was thinking a master off of an fzr 1000 or yzf1000.

If you want a remote resevoir, I'd suggest a Kawi ZX7 since it is 14mm and has an adjustable lever.  I think the FJR1300 is also 14mm w/ adjustable lever and keeps the integrated style resevoir.

Also, a steel braided clutch line might give a little more travel too (no flexing = more pushing)

Just realized you were asking about the SLAVE cylinder.  I don't think the FZR will work - different style of mounting (needs a large hole cut since part of the cylinder sets INTO the cover).

Another possibility is the cover flexing slightly due to the added force.  I do know Hayabusas with heavy clutch springs were bad about breaking the mount for the slave.  May be a way to add a support to the cylinder to remove any flex there may be.  For the dragbike I bought a slave mount from PMFR (pmfronline.com).  Definately stout enough not to flex!

Or cheaper if you can find a deal on Ebay, I saw a fellow parting out a FJR and emailed about the clutch master and we made a deal without any Ebay charges. Good luck

Thanks guys I did reinforce the slave and it doesn't flex anymore. I still plan to add a SS clutch line.
