Guys, I'm new on this forum and I even believe I'm going to ask this, but after I tore down my '86 1200 for a new top end, I didn't write down which wire goes from the coils to the spark plugs.  Two of my wires have a number on them while the other two don't.  The ones that have the numbers are 2 & 4.  Can someone confirm that the cylinder numbers read left to right (1-4) with the headlight in front of you?  Can someone confirm how to hook up the plug wires from the coils to the spark plugs?  I'm sorry for being an idiot.  I usually tag the wires and this time I forgot.  Thanks.

When sitting on the bike; cylinder 1 is on LHS. Coil on LHS goes to cylinder 1 and 4, coil on RHS goes to 2 and 3.  Does not matter which plug lead goes where, as long as the coils are hooked up in the above order.
  Regards, Pete.

Don't be sorry. Embrace it!  There's plenty of us out there.   Just look what shows up at the rallies.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!  It was late last night and my brain was just toast.  I knew 1 was on the LHS, but I needed confirmation.  Thanks again.
