Hay guys

Look at the moment talking with Fred re his engine rebuild as mine is very immanent.

So what have you guys done re your Suspension front and back?

I'm currently looking at R1 gear, however not sure on the latest models that will be relatively straight forward changeovers give or take nudging and small mods.

I'v got a mate who can press out the stearing stems, and help with the front end for me, I guess from my reading the 17" front is the bomb (nice)

Need help with what can i put on the back?

So what year R1 can I run on me Might beast any suggestions and ideas/links.

Thanks guys  :good2:

Hey Phil, R-1 suspension you say?

Hmmmm, I remember someone who's done that: http://www.fjowners.com/index.php?topic=3148.0

Tim's bike is outstanding, like the owner.  Be sure to read thru the posts to the end...pay attention to the adjustable dog bone failure Tim experienced.

Cheers laddie...

With later model R1 you will have difficulty as the shock is offset to the left.  The 3xW frame allows it to work but the earlier frames are tighter.  The big challenge with late model sport bike swingarm conversions is the top shock mount placement and, if overslung, interference with the fj subframe due to width.
