Hi all from here in Australia.
Only joined tonight so will take a bit to have a look around and get the feel of where things are and how to navigate the site.
Weather is great here for rides as winter has gone and sun is there most days.
Anyway againhi to all international members but also hi to any from Oz as would certainly enjoy catching up with FJ lovers. Once bitten it never leaves you.

Welcome Gaz, I hope you don't mind but I split your post out of Bing's intro.

That way we can welcome you properly. Plenty of your fellow convicts here aboard our form.
You blokes even have your own sub section.

Let us know how we can help you.....questions are encouraged, however, please read through our File section first. Chances are your answer lies therein.

We are quite proud of the wisdom accumulated in the Files.

Cheers

Gratefully appreciate the welcome.
I have only just found your site as was looking for a couple of parts and stumbled upon it.
I've had a few FJ's going back to my first in 1987 actually buying an FJ1100.  I then a few years later bought another that had been in an accident and fully restored her to original.
Time passed and ineventually sold both and I had always said I would buy another. Ten years ago I bought a 92 FJ1200 of which was immaculate, from the inset I had a Neighbour pester me and pester me to buy it so after a couple of years I relented and sold the bike to him only to see him onsell it the same week.
Again I found myself kicking myself and sweating inwoukd again find one.
I now have acquired an original 1992 FJ1200 police bike as well as just finding a 1989 FJ1200 in black and gold that had even ridden into a shed 3 years ago and left so now have both of those to enjoy.
In addition to my FJ's I have a few others including
1992 cb400 super four
1980 CB750F
1981 CB750F
1995 CBR1000f
2004 CBR1000rr
2004 CBR1100xx
1993 XV535
1997 XV535
1976 GT750
I have a few other bikes that I hope to aquire but in general have now found the enjoyment not only in riding and restoring but also in collecting.

Welcome to the forum Gaz. Got a pretty good bunch from OZ as members here. Any bloke that appreciates FJ's and GT750's is OK in my book.

A pistol is like a parachute, if you need one and don't have one you will never need one again.

Thanks Mate
I'm currently in talks with a guy in the states to aquire another 75 GT750. I have two sons, both of which love motorcycles so they will have a piece of history from my younger years.
It's extremely nice putting together a collection but it's nicer watching your kids enjoy it as well.
I see there are rally's so will definitely try and organize getting involved there.
I had joined a couple of forums for the Honda's but found not many that actually enjoyed getting together outside of Europe.
I would also like to find a red and white FJ1100. I thought recently I had actually found the original bike I owned but ended up not being it.

Welcome Gaz. Manshed day in Bermagui next month and annual rally in Toowoomba in March. No trailering unless you've got at least 3 limbs in plaster. 22 FJ's at this years rally in Vic High Country - best bunch of blokes I've ever come across in Harrietville.

You may already have these or it might all be on the net, but if you want to borrow and copy these I can send them to you. Genuine Suzuki manuals.

Harvy

Hi there Gaz.... as Noel said, we have our annual rally up there in Toowoomba in early March next year.
We also have a get together on the Sunshine Coast the first weekend in November.
Hope you can make it to one or both.

Cheers

FJZ1 1200 - It'll do me just fine.
Timing has much to do with the success of a rain dance.

Gaz

Hi guys
First up mate let me say I would just about crawl over crushed glass to be able to copy those so yes please if it's no problem.
Certainly would look forward to the rally, I joined two Honda forums but no one ever seemed keen to actually throw a leg over a bike and ride.
I was only discussing rides with my son this evening and talking about when I was his age and the rides we would do and the massive miles we would cover just because we could. I talk him into doing similar to get the experience of what motorcycling has to offer.
I also made the commment that one day I will find an 86 fj1100 in the red and pearl white and I will bust trying to acquire it. So many fond memories.
I'm sure we will work towards being apart of the rally so please any info of what happens etc will be gladly appreciated.
