We're having some nice Fall weather in my neck of the woods, so I threw a leg over my beater '85, and got some miles in this weekend. Close to 400 of them, and most of them in the state of Wisconsin, that has some good Fall colors starting up.

Took a ride with a diverse motorcycle group from the Twin Cities on Saturday. A good mix of riders and bikes. Cruisers, sportbikes, sport touring, and vintage (mine). We headed to north central WI, had a lunch at a resort on a lake, then rode some nice roads around the lakes in the area.

The group...

Resort on Long Lake in Wisconsin. Note the beer sign. If you're a cheese head, you'll recognize it!...

View from the dining area...

Stop with group on the ride after lunch...

When it came to the time to head back, I separated from the group, and rode south to a state park near Chippewa Falls to camp. My girlfriend had been camping there since Friday night, so I only had to show up.

We broke camp this morning, then she got on the back of the bike, and we explored some nice roads. Some along the Chippewa River where there was some nice Fall foliage...

Dropped her back at her car, then rode back home. Good weather days for riding, are numbered in these parts. Gotta get them in when you can.

Beautiful scenery , looks familiar to Northern Ontario. Enjoy the ride and the colors.

Certainly does. I've been north of the border a number of times into your province on fishing trips.

Thanks.

Nice ride report!

It almost makes me feel like i was there... almost.

BTW, I consider your '85 far from a beater.  :nea:

Thanks Randy.

Regarding my beater, I would say that it's a nice ten-footer or so. Gets me from point A, to point B for the most part. :good2:
