I've had the Harbor Freight motorcycle lift for years and it's a great buy.  I didn't like the front wheel clamp it came with so I bought a wheel vise.

Have a new drill bit handy for drilling holes for a wheel vise.  They make the lifts out of some hard steel.

The lifts go on sale for less than $400 quite regularly.

Look for a 10 or 20% off coupon as well. I bought my lift during their Thanksgiving day sale for $239.99. I can't believe that I went so long without one.

Nice work as always Alan.

I've tried a couple of different ways to support the front of the bike. First I used bags of cement on the seat to rock the bike back on the centrestand, lol. After that I used ratchet straps hooked to the floor of my  lift table like this --

Then made a little wooden support that works well. Can't remember who on this forum did it originally, great idea though--

You can see the bag of cement wrapped in a sheet to tilt the bike back while I put the stand in place. A helper here usually make it easier :)

Geez Ray, your lift table is even cleaner than your bike! (please don't tell me you polish it)
