Hagon front progressive springs - too hard

I have on my FJ Hagon progressive springs installed by PO.
And I feel they are to hard. Ride on bad road is not pleasure, also fast ride is challenging.....
I found on Alf's website information that in His opinion this problem occurs in after 91 model.

I checked sag:
FESS - 30 mm
FERS - 6 mm

So it looks like those springs are really hard, rider sag only 6 mm.

If I will change fork oil from 10 to 5w it will make any difference?

You can try a lighter fork oil, see if that helps, but I doubt it will...with that rider sag measurement.
Make sure you don't over fill with fork oil. Measure oil level with the springs out, fork compressed.

Have you reviewed the Hagon fork spring install specifications? https://www.hagon-shocks.co.uk/common/pagedetail.aspx?PageCode=setup

Are the Hagon springs extending beyond the top of the fork cap? (per #8)
Do you have a spacer tube you can cut down (or remove) to reduce the spring preload?

I have oli level on 140mm (142 in Hynes). All done as You said: no springs, forks fully compressed.
No spacers inside and preload regulation on minimum.

I am wonder if that hardness can be caused by worn bushings in forks.....

Anyway..... moditus bug already spotted occasion, and force me to check RPM website again and again...... race tech springs and emulators and rebuilding kit......  :wacko3: :wacko3: :wacko3:

But wallet says: NO

Here's some other options...

Review moveon's cheaper fix, for front end woes.

Thank You for link FJ1100mjk.

I think I will try first rebuild forks.

I want buy bushings from Race Tech.  There is no problem with inner bushing FMBI 41201 P, easy to buy.
But I can not find outer bushing in normal price or with normal postage cost - FMBO 41122 P.
I can easily buy outer bushing 3 mm higher - FMBO 41152 P.....

I am curious: anyone tried that? will it work?

I just want to make sure you are aware that the complete RPM/FJ 41mm Fork Rebuild Kit is always in stock.

I cannot answer specifically to the bushing you are inquiring about, but the 3mm tall bushing will not allow the snap ring to be installed.
