G'day,
Amazing stuff!  I just sprayed it on, waited 10 minutes, gently hosed it off, and if that ain't the shiniest carb you seen on an '85, I don't know what!!  After it dries, I oil the linkages between the carbs, choke slides, and wait until the next time the tank comes off.  Amazing how much road crap ends up in there...

Actually, I used this degreaser, only avail in the Aussie market I figure... very good stuff.  Either way, for years to come, shaving foam will come up on google everytime someone searches for carb cleaner...maybe only on page 50, but it's there...
Squeaky wheels always get the grease...

For the best result before rinsing it off, you should use this:

1985 - Yamaha FJ1100 36Y
1978 - Yamaha SR500
1983 - Kawasaki GPZ550 (sold)
1977 - Kawasaki Z400 (sold)

The following is a typical ingredient list on a high end shaving cream: aqua (water),stearic acid, myristic acid, potassium hydroxide, coconut acid, glycerin, triethanolamine, parfum (fragrance) and sodium hydroxide.

...I'm surprised that it does not take your skin off too! ...

It looks like good carb cleaner though!!
