Lets start with what I've done and Know....Got the bike and Did Gixxer Conversion and swapped out front to Blue Dots and FZR 1000 rim...1st ride i noticed a vibration through seat of my ass...Chain...so i replaced it..running 18/38 combo.Chain done still got bad vibes through bars,so i yank the motor mounts which were seized and a Pain in the Ass..done..now i have no vibes when i get out of the notorious FJ harmonic range..Oh ya carbs were redone and Synced...So a little trouble shooting...when vibing if i pull clutch in to drop RPM and coast nothing, when i let out its back,it's not to my knowledge wheel bearings or such because all of my vibes are more or less in that 2800-3500 or so range...So here's my next idea, going to re-sync carbs to start, valves to my knowledge got to get checked as I have no idea when done. The bar vibes are not bad but the whole bike has a vibe ever so slightly in that range...bike is a 92 non-abs...Vibranators will kill the bars but i'm concerned on the more or less whole bike one...
hope i put enough info down....Here lays a picture of the patient... :morning2:

That's a non original exhaust, is it sufficiently isolated from the frame at the mounting points and not touching elsewhere?

You seem to have narrowed down your trouble shooting to RPM related vibes and not speed related. Good.

Check and adjust your valves before the carb sync. You will need to sync your carbs after any valve changes anyway. When I got my '89 I did the valves before I started riding it. 8K miles later some were tapping so I did them again. One valve was so tight I could not get the thinnest feeler gauge in. Tight valves do not make noise. They also cause burnt valves. So check your valves soon.
The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.

Do all of the maintenance items.

I would also inspect the clutch and clutch basket. If someone added the second spring and it has slipped out of the spring retainer it will have a vibration. Also, it might be worth checking the clutch basket to make sure it is not broken. If it cracks, the steel ring at the outer edge will hold it together. Then when you put an abnormal load on the clutch is usually breaks into pieces.

So I remounted my Supertrapp Can and put rubber washers between bike and can and noticed a smoother ride...I believe i'll do valves and re-sync carbs next...I'll be getting vibranators after that to take little more out and thinking I might go with risers too....
