Just an FYI for any rolling into Willits via 101 north, we got stuck in a 45 minute traffic jam while cal trans appeared to be watching the weeds grow along the guardrail, about 2.5 miles south of town.  Don't sit too long on your aircooled bike, or it will become air-overheated.
The jam extended quite a way back into Willits, nearly back to hwy 20!  Apparently this cleared later in the day, so early arrivals may be their primary targets...

Life isn't about having the best, but about making the best of what you have...

So, since I am bring up three bikes and I can only ride one at t time, I am towing. I has been a few years since we have looked at the wheel bearing on the trailer. So,in true day before we leave fashion, the wheel bearings come off.

While those are being service I look at the undercarriage of the trailer/axle at say WTF :shok:

The axle, which is a Dexter "Torflex" axle has broken away from the rear mounting brackets on both sides. The axle is being held loosely in by the single front bolt which now has worn holes and cracks as well.

So, that axle comes out, the brackets are repaired and gussets are made. Now all we have to do is install it in the mroning and put the wheels on, load up & head out.

Am I breaking the rally rules...?
