For any previous Willits WCR attendees.

Has anyone ridden Branscomb Road between Highway 1 & 101 north of Willits?

Looking for input on the road quality.

yes, decent ride but gets tight near the end by the 1 ... no center line .

I was planning on riding it at the WCR.

Yes mate, ridden it often,it's a favourite.
There's photos of it in the files section.
It's at least three years ago though.
It was a good country road back then and the road quality was fine, shouldn't be an issue for road bikes.
If you do a loop from Willits that takes in Hwy 20, Branscombe Road and the section of HWY1 from Legett to the Coast , you've got an incredibly good ride.

Cap'n Ron, Derek, Donna, and I rode it the last time I was in Willits (2014)

We loved it.
Like Mark said, the end near the (1) is kinda narrow, with no stripe, and lots of blind corners. It's like a paved logging road, almost like the first part of Skaggs Springs Rd, although not as rough, so be careful in that section.
It's a good road though.
