Well after much skiving, twisting of arms and $$$ of course.
I might be close to reassembling this LONG term project called FJ.  :yahoo:
Firstly I finished straightening the frame, got it soda blasted and have finally given it an epoxy based undercoat.

Yay, a pallet of 1991 FZR1000 rims, brakes and front forks turned up.  :good:

Now to pack it all away until I get some more time off.
Cyclone Ului ... WTF  :bye2:
I remember the world before Workplace Health & Safety.

Ha ha ... the cyclone missed me by about 45km's.  :good2:
Just alot of rain and some wind here.

Anyway, what colour to paint the frame?
NOT chrome pink, baby poo brown, sunshine yellow, etc.

Black
White
Red

Let us know your choice.
Cheers All.

I would go with "precious silver pearl" its an easily available dulux powder coat and IMHO looks better than white. For some reason I don't like the red or black.

Mate who needs to worry about natural disasters when you have Anna Bligh  :bomb:
I have kleptomania,
but when it gets bad,
I take something for it.

White looks allright to me. Maybe black if you can't be bothered to keep it clean.
I've often been asked, 'What do you old folks do now that you're retired'?

"Well. I'm fortunate to have a chemical engineering background, and one of the things I enjoy most is turning beer, wine, Scotch, and margaritas into urine."

Cyclone Ului WTF.  :bomb:

It hit me in Airlie Beach Saturday Night...............direct hit with 205kph (125MPH) winds............2 hours blowing from one direction..................two hours of calm as the 75k (45 mile) eye passed over then 2 hours blowing from the opposite direction. I'm now the proud owner of a 250 litre solar hot water service which landed in my back yard.............only "slightly" damaged. Oh yeah and the trees in my yard have had a severe hair cut, they look more like pet sticks now.

Go the silver ren-dog.................Yamaha got it right the first time  :good2:

TeeeCeee....good to see you are still about.....had been wondering how you faired.

Congrats on the new hot water service.....lol.

I saw on the news last night that one of my old haunts - the Eungella Chalet - has been destroyed AGAIN...... hope the owners can re-build like they did back in the early '70s...... it was a great place for many years for a beer and a relax, even going back to WW2 when it was used as R&R accommodation for US troops.

FJZ1 1200 - It'll do me just fine.
Timing has much to do with the success of a rain dance.

Sorry to hear about your back yard TeeeCeee.
Mine just filled with water, almost to my knees.
I dunno, I just feel if I'd wanted silver or chrome I would have bought a Harley.  :dash1:
I really like the drag bike , FJ1289's is building with the black frame.
Either way I need to make a decision before I start putting the suspension back together.
Go Queenslander.
