Is This Really Necessary?

Had this link emailed to me by my nephew in BC.  I thought that's why God gave us fingers instead of flippers.  It obviously doesn't work very well as he still got his hands dirty in the last photo.  I guess if adjusting the chain is that inconvenient you could always maybe possibly consider shaft drive?   

But of course! What if you were missing most or all of your fingers!  Apologies....

Paul, he has made a tool for which there was no demand and how does it compensate for tight spots? You could end up doing more harm than good with that gadget if placed in the wrong spot.

Seriously, I don't touch my chain between tyres changes, lube or adjustment and I do not ride with a loose chain either.

Modern chain and a high tech oiler have made chain maintenance a thing of the past. Oilers do a lot more than save you having to apply the lube yourself, they do it way better.

The only thing that reminds me I have a chain back there is a bit of oil on the wheel after a trip, but then it's only oil (not sticky chain lube) and washes straight off.

I can't tell you how liberating it is on a trip to be freed of the daily chain maintenance routine.
