Hello All, h0gWash here aka Matt. In my early 30s, live in East London and recently purchased a fixer upper. 1988 FJ1200 3CV. Thing is there really isn't too much to fix from what I can tell. Love the bike and don't want to take it apart because when it's apart I won't be able to ride it! I started riding 3 years ago on a YBR125 (fantastic for the busy commute), moved up to a MT07 1 year ago and now I have an absolute beast. Even in the bad weather I'm pretty addicted to the roll on power available. I did discover that power can be difficult to lay down last weekend with unintended wheels spins at 80mph  I don't own a car so the idea is that long rides will be done on the FJ. Also plan to do some quite serious touring in the spring/summer in Europe. I have a couple of niggling problems and questions but I'll start new threads. Anyway, here's to the torque monster!!  :good2:

Welcome to the forum Matt.  :hi:

There are a good amount of FJ owners in England. There is a map that shows the many members from across the globe. Pin yourself and take a look and see if there are other members nearby.

Matt,
Welcome to the digital campfire! You sound like you discovered one of the most endearing characteristics of the FJs, namely the prodigious torque these old lumps will crank out. Do a search of the website if you have any questions, I'm pretty sure that just about every possible question has been asked and answered. Once moditus sets in and you start upgrading your FJ, you will be very impressed by how competent the FJs can be.
