This is the first time I've made a post, and hoped that it was redundant.

Mike got in touch with me after being hospitalized with pericarditis. He is being monitored, last I heard the thought was the cause was viral.
In any case, I think receiving well wishes from this forum might make his recuperation easier and quicker.

Get better fast Mike, I much prefer seeing you in the garage! Ben

Thank you Pat. Personally I thought my Korean mother in law slipped me some anthrax tainted rice. I am home now though have to go for a good amount of testing. The disorder is somewhat rare occurring in about 1/220,000. Normal pericardial sac is 5mm thick....mine was at 2cm. I was sitting in Atlanta airport last Monday seriously thinking I was having a heart attack. I got off the plane on Boston and was in the ER in about 1 hour.
I feel a bit better but am easily fatigued and cannot maintain a supine position....I have to sleep sitting up. Hopefully te pharmecutical program I am on will get rid of the inflammation or more invasive techniques will be required.
Luckily I have about 1.5 years of sick time and only a few more years to retirement.
Thanks again Pat.

Yea Mike, keep those lungs clear. Not a good time to get an infection from fluid buildup.

Glad you're out of the hospital. Who knows what kind of cooties you can catch in those buildings?

Keep us updated Mike. I wish you and Randy were closer.
