I put in a new headlight bulb & one in the instrument cluster -all without having to remove the back wheel!!!!!
Now I just have to put the rest of it back together...
I've often been asked, 'What do you old folks do now that you're retired'?

"Well. I'm fortunate to have a chemical engineering background, and one of the things I enjoy most is turning beer, wine, Scotch, and margaritas into urine."

Colin......you can change the headlight bulb without having to pull anything apart........(well I can on the '91 anyway.....maybe the shape of the fairing prevents it on earlier models). ON the centrestand, just turn the to the left and you have enough room to stick your hand up into the firing from below. You can remove the dust seal, disconnect the socket, and work the little spring clip that holods the bulb in.......its tight but doable.

The cluster bulbs are another story entirely, as you have discovered.

Well done on the first ride mate.

FJZ1 1200 - It'll do me just fine.
Timing has much to do with the success of a rain dance.

I've been dreading this job too - I don't have my laser alignment tool anymore so I can make sure I get the muffler bearing back on straignt again!
