Hunting flies

A wife brought lunch to her husband in his workshop and found him with a flyswatter in hand. She asked him what he was doing and he replied hunting flies. She asked have you had any success?  Yes he replied I've gotten six--- four males and two females. Surprised she asked how did he know their gender? He replied four were on my beer can and two were on the telephone.
