Hi all,
        I'd just like to say that of all the bikes I've had in my life, my FJ1200 is the one that I've spent most money on, buying parts that weren't broken or worn out. This was fuelled by the initial purchase price of $626. I then sold the luggage for $187. dance2 Bought from a friend at work, he came up with the price, several times since, he has said, "You saw me coming!" LOL. He had fitted a Nitron rear shock, fitted new master cylinder seals, new calliper seals, as he was going to keep the bike for a long time.........

Although without RPM, this wouldn't have been possible  :blum2:

What have I done to my bike? Compared to some on here, not a lot, this is the list.

Skidmarx after market flip up screen.

Delkevic silencers

Renntec crash bars.

18 / 41 sprockets. ( think that's what I fitted)

Honda mirrors.

RPM spin on oil filter adaptor.

RPM heated grips kit...... still not fitted.....

RPM clutch bits........... still not fitted......

RPM fork brace.

RPM fork springs and fork valves...... were to be fitted this weekend, not happening now, as my 86 year old Mum is in hospital. Although only for observation.

RPM bar risers, were also to be fitted this weekend......... due to cock up by Royal Mail, still in their depot! On a plus note, as I had these delivered to my works address, and the customs duty invoice was left there, and not forwarded to me, someone inadvertently paid it on the works account. I asked how I should pay this back, told not to bother! Only $22, but good2

Stebel horn, as I hate OEM ones, sound like a bee farting.

I had done the relay thing for the headlight, but, took it all off eventually after buying a super bright bulb. See also, below.

Spot / fog lights. (ebay description, not mine) eventually removed them, as at the time, garage space was tight, and I got fed up manouvering them past the other bikes, and "her indoors" crap.

Aftermarket seat, far more comfortable on my not unsignificantly padded arse!

Voltmeter......... not fitted yet.......

hi viz tape, as both a safety feature and to brighten the bike up a bit...... excuse the pun.

Only necessary work that i've had to do was the clutch slave cylinder, fitted a repair kit once, then, err, you guessed bought a new slave cylinder from RPM.

main stand spring & trip meter rest button, still at the Royal mail depot with the bar risers.

I just enjoy tinkering with this bike, and giving Randy money.

It's high on the RDF scale (Relative Duplication Factor) In a world of clones, our bikes are unique.

Randy, I'm really pleased with the fork valves and springs. I was was a bit concerned that i'd go out on the bike and not notice any difference. but, the ride is far better, the bike takes bumps in it's stride now, even seems to handle better round bends. I say "seems", as one of the things I've often read about in various mags and websites, is how noticeable it is riding a shaft drive bike, and the torque reaction, never noticed it myself, perhaps I 'm not sensitive enough to notice a lot of difference. Alternatively, I'm a riding God, and could thrash Rossi while on my Guzzi.......... :Facepalm:

Pat, thanks. Started reading about your bike!!!!!! Wow, that's what I call modifying a bike. Adding over 20% more cc"s. Serious heavyweight mods. :good2:

Nitron shock is at Nitron, having the spring changed to suit my weight. After having spent the money on the front end upgrade, would have been silly not to ensure the back was set up correctly.

I now feel the urge to do the ignition timing mod. :good:
