i purchased this product first in a kit for my R1, i liked it so much i decided to use it on the FJ
the company makes "general" sheets for custom applications
i bought the 13"x7" set that came wit a small center piece
make a template, cut it with scissors, bevel the edge on a bench grinder, then apply
takes 12 hours to cure and it definitely feels harder after it sets
it also covers a blemish caused by yours truly that pissed me off every time i saw it- blemish gone
its a very "grippy" product that should last a few seasons before it needs replaced
the manufacture says it will release without damage- i cannot vouch for this claim as i have just a month using it
i personally think it looks acceptable

I got a set for my FJR.  They make a specific FJR product.  Like it a lot.

I've been looking for an item like this for my 'other' bike, but just couldn't come at these kind of prices.
Yes, I know I'm a cheap bastard, which ruled out both StompGrip and TechSpec.
Anyhow, you've encouraged me to look for some tank grips for my Aprilia Shiver and I've found some.

Since the importer is close, I rode over to see if I could find a set that could be made to work
They had lots of choices, but most of them had moulded raised letters of different bikes.
This one was free of names and the price was right. :-) Only  A$25 inc GST

I did have to trim these slightly to fit my bike's tank, but a pair of sissors worked fine.
And they do have 3M 848MP adhesive on them.

Same company also carries a lot of other (mainly Chinese) stuff, but they have no catalog.
