Fuel pump failure

Started the motorcycle, made it a little ways down the street before I realized it had an issue.
It was too hot and humid to be pushing a heavy air cooled big bore motorcycle up the hill, that I will attest.
I did not hear the fuel pump.
Bummed, I think about it, and consider going with a low pressure low flow generic fuel pump.
I went down to the local Yamaha dealership and they said they had one of the fuel pump points sets in stock.
:good:
Also completed a oil change, went with 10W/50 semi-synthetic Yamaha oil - had a couple cases laying around, feels good using something that cost nothing.
Been putting a lot of miles on with no issues, great motorcycles.
Anyone heard if Randy has the lower cowls yet?

The last time I was at his shop he had a few of the lower fairings for the '86+. Send him an email to see if he still has one for you. They are fiberglass and gel coated in white and no fastener holes. But they look good and fiberglass will not be affected buy a leaking clutch slave or heat like the OEM ABS plastic is so it will be an upgrade.
The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.

'86 Ambulance - Bent frame, cracked case, due for an overhaul
'89 Stormy Blue - Suits my Dark Side
