Decided to try out some new (to me) roads above Boulder Friday afternoon.

There were a bunch of canyon roads, and winding roads up in the mountains just west of Boulder, that I have never been on.
Some of them included some dirt sections. A couple of them were all-dirt.
The FJ was up to the task (as always) and performed flawlessly.

There were some good views above Boulder.

Also visited Gross Dam, and Gross Reservoir while I was up there.

The Reservoir is full to capacity now, but back in March it looked like this.

Altogether it was a 165-mile day.
It was fairly warm (in the 90's), so it was good to get up in the higher elevations.

Really nice area.

I like the picture of the deer. Just like you want them. Off the road!
