The west coast Rally is all done for this year and was another successful rally for the west coast riders . I have loaded the pictures into my gallery and they can be seen by clicking here http://www.fjowners.com/index.php?action=gallery;su=user;cat=372;u=16.

There was an "incident " where someone went down unintentionally on a left hander uphill corner that had sand and they tucked a wheel and smacked the pavement and spun around in a pretty counter clockwise motion .....Yeah , it was me ...came into a corner with a bad line and screwed up.. Randy thinks my new trans with a working 2nd gear got me too excited .

The FJ broke a mirror and bent a footpeg but was ok with some minor scuffs as well. I came away with scrapped forearm and finger and some minor soreness in the knee . I was riding 2nd position in the pack so all the guys were able to stop and help pick the bike up and move to a turnout across from my spinout .. we were all relieved I was ok and so the heckling began ... all in good fun . After making sure I was ok, the group continued the ride being sure to watch the corners for sand. Craig and I rode back to camp and cleaned up my scrapes , borrowed a footpeg from Randy and then I was back in the saddle again with maybe a smidgen more of caution than before as I rode about 65 miles with no problems . I was a little sore the next day however , but still went on the 270 mile ride through amazing twists and turns ... So all in all , a minor incident at the awesome Rally.

gotta say skymaster "Mike" was quite the celebrity with all the people and kids as he rode around with the animal helmet . Many stopped him and asked for a picture , even the local leo's wanted to get a picture with him ... quite popular guy.

I stay off the ground.

It's an Ebay special, "Perrini" two-piece that fits pretty snug since it's new. They tell me it'll stretch with use.

Only $299   http://www.ebay.com/itm/2pc-Perrini-Ghost-Motorcycle-Racing-Leather-Suit-with-Metal-Waist-Zipper-w-Hump/251262900689?_trksid=p2060778.c100275.m3474&_trkparms=ao%3D1%26asc%3D31206%26meid%3D19b167e8dbdf4be4813132e14d6fb6c3%26pid%3D100275%26

Glad you posted. Thought about you today and about the scrape on you helmet (on your head... on your shoulders). If not for the gear even a minor tumble could have been a lot more uncomfortable afterword's. I don't understand why riders prefer an open face. But that's me. Beside the fall protection think about all those bugs we cleaned off our face shields.
Good post

That's is not a power ranger suit.  It's something out of Tron...

Mark O,
Glad you mostly got away with just a scratch. Sorry to hear about your "Spill".

Mike (Skymasteres) I heard you received quite a bit of "Attention" over the crazy Animal on your head. :pardon:

Good to see all the WCR pictures, and that everyone made it home safe!  :good:
