Have been thinking about this for a while, as even with the 3/4" risers on I have still been feeling scrunched up on longer rides, anyhow a modded top yoke with risers, bars and grips came up on ebay for £35 so I thought I'd give it a go, unfortunately when they came I realised that they were Harley risers and bars and so my controls wouldn't fit !
Ok moditus had by this time set in so I decided to buy some tapered fat bars, but when they came they looked like crap, so I thought to myself stuff it and took a dremel to my controls and got them as close as I could, the hardest part was modding the twist grip area, can't get them perfect due to the plastic sheaths inside, figure I will just fill in the small gaps with silicone, not brilliant I know........!
Anyhow to me it was worth the effort, my riding triangle is much comfier and the old girl feels more flickable in the tight twistys, a sort of fat Fazer if you like.  :good2:

With hindsight that would have been the way to go, :hi: still they've turned out ok and I like the feel of the big Harley grips.
