Water Level and clutch

I could not help but notice the 25 feet of clear vinyl 1/4 " ID coloured water inside it that I was getting funny readings when the Water Level was even with the top of my reference post as I carefully moved the other end over to each of the other three posts that were at least 10 feet in the air...... Then noticed a 3inch air bubble in the curled up mess that still lay on the ground and how difficult it was to rid the air bubble of the Water Level.

  I made me think of motorcycle hydraulics and how at least one component is lower than it's mate not to mention the numerous turns  and why it must be so difficult to get the bleeping bleep bleeping air out.
