Hi guys,

i need to know the type of plastic material of the inner fairing, for plastic welding .

I got an 1TX '1986, and these parts are really torn and cracked/broken to small parts. I want them to get repaired.

Thanx for any info !

The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.

Vilike,
The plastic is ABS (Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene).  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acrylonitrile_butadiene_styrene

Search for the following on Google:

     plastic welding site:fjowners.com
     Lego plastic repair site:fjowners.com

We have had some recent threads (with good links) that deal with this subject.

Thanks a lot guys !

Well i got an old plastic welder man here in my hometown, he will do it.
The left one broke apart to 9 parts, the right one is broken only at the upper screw fitting.

Yeah, those 30 years made their work...
