One thing about my FJ11. It keeps me guessing.
I have been having a few issues with the instrument on the bike. On an 8 hour ride 2 weeks ago my speedo went hay wire then just stopped working 1 hour into the ride. When I got home pulled the fairing off, removed the dash, pulled it apart....and the speedy magnet thingy had seized. (no chance of revival) No probs, I have a spare dash (not in as good nick visually, but good for parts)

So after a bit of work with the trusty screwdriver, the dash is back together. Checked the speedo cable, it busted too, easy new one ordered. Put the whole lot back together.

Next lesson people, test the dash lights before you but everything back together. No lights, so I pull it all apart again. Swap in some new LED one that I had sitting there and forgot to put in earlier. Reassemble everything. Lights working, yep. lets go for a ride.

500 metres into the ride, speedo does some other strange thing and then the needle falls off. DOH. Back to the shed to pull apart again  :dash2:. Hopefully I will have it right for the weekend.

Happy travels people.
