See the link above.  Has anyone ever tried this pipe, or know anyone?  Are their claims real or is it just snake oil?

He makes alot of claims.. but there is no reason that it wouldn't outperform, or at worst equal the performance of the stock pipe. Its just a basic 4/1/2 setup that should give a good balance. added with the seemingly short mufflers it should flow well, but I suspect its a bit loud.

His claims are excessive. 40% anywhere in the rev range just won't happen.  All his NASCAR comments have no relevance to our street bikes, and NASCAR engines are not the most powerful anyhow.
My vote is Snake Oil.  That said, the pipe may work as well or even slightly better than the stock pipe if you don't mind noise.

Cheers,
Arnie

Yeah, I have to agree w/ everyone here.  I'll bet it is snake oil. just a louder pipe w/ some weight loss.  I guess that if it's to good to be true.....  Every idiot can finish this sentence.  :wacko1:   And no, I did not buy it.

Thanks all,

Craig.

Right on Arnie, his claim of a 40% increase at 4,000 rpm is very suspect.

How the hell is this system supported?
http://www.x-pipe.com/motorcycle.html  Scroll down.
Nothing is shown on the X collector and the mufflers are too short.
Is this X system just hung off the head pipe studs? If so then, even as light as he claims the system is, this places quite a uneven cantilever load on those exhaust studs and aluminum threads in the head, along with stressing all the pipe welds as the system bounces around.

Run away.... run away fast....

Oh, I'd easily believe that vs a well designed 4-1 he's seeing 40% gains.  Of course, that's also on stock jetting.  A stock system is probably 40% up on an open 4-1 if the jetting isn't changed, particularly at low revs.

Of course, a nicely designed 4-1 when properly fueled is going to stomp all over this thing.  And where the hell is he buying jet kits for $600?  Heck, I'd sell him rebadged dynojet kits for only $450, I could save him a load!
