New year is apon us already  :nea:

I was planning to have my 12/1985 FJ 1200 on club rego on the 2nd of January but it's still in bits  :cray:

This bike was a bonus because it is stamped 12/85 so the cheap rego comes 12 months earlier than the usual 1986 stamped models  :yahoo:

(NSW club rego is 30 years to the year not the month & the difference is $500.00)

When I got it I thought, now I have 3 years before the 30 year cheap rego is here so I have plenty of time to go through it  :good2:

I have 4 1200's & have never ridden one, so i'm excited  :yahoo:

Now I have eight days & looks like I will need another eight months  :dash1:

The General

Yeah Mate, time flies when ya having fun. (hard to keep up with the year number ay!)  But now....where do ya start? progress pics over the next 8 days would be good.

In Qld the rego savings isn't much, but shit the Comprehensive insurance savings is fantastic when they hit 35 years old. (eg my 1978 XS1100/1200 is agreed valued at $10,500 and only cost $81 for the year through Shannons)....Apparently statistics show they are very low risk at that age.....first time I`ve known them to be very, very wrong in their assessment.

I`m off to pick up some fresh prawns from the only seafood shop that knows how to store them Fresh & Crisp, like I use to when I was in the Game. Then a few days of workshop hang`n out !

Took the dog to view all the local chrissie lights last night in the sidecar....there was a traffic jam in every street...beautiful, but can`t believe the money spent on house flash!

This year we`re exchanging gifts on New Years Eve. It came about due to various in-laws commitments. For various reasons, I now reckon it`s the best thing ever. That way Christmas day isn`t about what you bought or got. More about giving time, hanging out, celebrating with old school meaning and a little reflection imho.

Must also mention I received a really terrific pressie, off the cuff, unannounced surprise, from one of our USA forum members, in the true spirit of Christmas. Sincerely appreciated Fred. (Pics with the New Year!)

New year`s resolution is to never buy any takeaway food at all, zilch, xero for 2016. (Consuming at the takeway shop/Restaurant is the only exception, max of once monthly.)

Merry Christmas all.  :drinks:
