RPM's FJ1200, XJ1200, XJR 1300: Yamaha BS36 Mikuni FJ adjustable main jet needle set definitely fits my 85 fj1100. Using the second slot up from the bottom, I notice a difference in how she runs. I can hear the engine running richer. The needles sit with plenty of spring and clearance. I will be able to go to the first slot if necessary but I would try shimming the second slot first.
Changed out my mains from the 112.5 stock to 117.5.  I think shes getting the extra fuel now so she wont be running lean and hot anymore.
She sounds extra raspy too! :blum1: Thank you RPM.

Thanks for the update Joe and I am glad we are getting you headed in the right direction.

For all of the FJ1100 owners out there thinking about replacement needles, if you have flat slide carbs the needles from the curved bottom slides will not work as they will be too lean.

So, if you are wondering if they will work for you, look at your slide and that will be your answer.
