Is it just my bike or are these F J's kinda cold hearted ?  My bike just seems so cold nature d, it acts like my ex wife. It's all fussy and yelling out spits and spats of confusion as it tries to make up it's mind whether to run or shut off. Once it warms up it runs extremely awesome. I think I'm just getting on it too soon but I was leery of it getting to hot just sitting there running with the choke on? Whats the normal warm up procedure that most of you,ins do?

Despite Rock......

If it runs fine when warmed up then it sounds like clogged choke fuel orifice(s).  Not getting enough fuel when the choke is on.

If it still stumbles a little at idle when warm, then dirty idle curcuit(s).

they start, warm up, idle and run better with the 4 deg advance plate and #40 pilot jet, cold starting with the stock bikes has always been a bit fiddly.

I was wondering about the sequence? Like..... full choke, start bike then drop to half choke and run at 2000 RPM for 1 minute or whatever? I know actual temps and conditions will vary therefore the basic procedure must be adapted. I personally don't like to start my bike cold and jump it right up to 3000  RPM , I just feel like it should warm a bit before being put through that. I'm going to be patient and try some mid choke longer warm up times and see how long it actually takes till it's ready. :good2:
