I installed my EMGO flush mounts (the large 4" ones) and also wired in a cheap Chinese brake light modulator ($3.10 shipped)

A warning to other 84/85 owners that might try to install the EMGO's: if you pick the same position as I did the fairing stay is going to be in the way of being able to fully install the light socket. Unfortunately I had to install mine in this spot as that's were my other semi-flush mounts were so I had to cover up the installation holes. If these were about 1/2" higher I don't think there'd be an issue. As it is I was able to use my BFH to slightly move the stay inward and the sockets a somewhat sandwiched in place.
