Hi there!
Stockholm, Sweden here. Started my FJ-84 session meeting up a rather dirty bike with some cracks and scratches on the left side. To be honest I wasn´t overly impressed and I had another image in the front of my mind. I knew I was on a tight budget going in for my final year in school and really pushing it in my effort to get a bike which was fun to ride but not too expensive.
My lack of enthusiasm was probably showing so the p.o. just said: why not take a ride?
Well, that kind of did it. Now its mine. Couldn´t resist the power and the easy handling and the brutal sound.
It´s been running smooth so far except for some minor details. Someone killed the key ignition switch the first night, now fixed (Mainly thanks to the forum).
Hope to give the bike some love and fix some stuff, but first I´m looking forward to just riding it all summer in the Stockholm area in Sweden. Further on I´ll read through even more posts on this forum, A lot of good stuff here!
Well, thats about it. Have a nice summer and enjoy the world cup!

Welcome to to the forum ! Feel free to ask questions as they come up. Lots of good people here to help out.  Plenty of time during the winter to fix things up.
Best get a feel for the bike and figure out what you need or want to tackle first.  :good2:

Welcome to the group.  :hi:

Once you are ready to do some repairs/upgrades/mods, ask a lot of questions and look in the Files section. There is a lot of good information there.

Hi Masse, My 85 probably not much different than yours. It a great bike, it's more than a bike, it's a hobby. your bike should run fine and you'll have plenty of time to work on things to make them the way you like them. The normal maintenance will give you plenty to do. Randy at RPM sells new parts, Ebay has used parts plus what the guys are selling on this site.
She got great lines, all sorts of power and she got longevity. I wanted mine red and that what I did last winter. Theres a lot of post on matching stock colors in the files. Some guys do upgrades. It's the perfect bike! (popcorn)
