Have to replace the pilot screw set in number 1. Has anyone come up with ones you can adjust with your fingers ? What are the opinions of the home made manometers for carb synch ?  thanks.

On the screws check with Randy at RPM.  If he doesn't have them then try FactoryPro.  Kind of spendy considering the FJ screws are easy to reach.
What's to say about home made manometers ? They work good.  End product  is the same no matter which one you use.  The manufactured ones are more portable but no more accurate IMO.  I have owned and used both. Currently I use a home made version.  Based on this design http://www.650ccnd.com/mano.htm. I like the 2 tube version, some prefer the 4 tube version.

I have seen a pilot screw that has a finger knob on it, but at almost twice the cost of the stock screws, I cant see them being a viable option for use on the FJ. Since the tank has to be off and a remote tank used to sync the carbs and set the pilot screws settings, the benefit of ease of adjustment versus cost due not balance for me.

I have the stock screw here; Carb Pilot Screw Kit
