I had seen something similar to this some time back, so I tried it out for myself.

*I removed the side stand, traced the outline on a hockey puck, cut it out with a jig saw, filed it smooth while trying to have the bottom taper outward slightly.
*Drilled through the bottom of the stand with a tap drill size drill, then set the stand on the puck and extended those holes down through the puck.
*Tapped the holes in the stand.
*Countersunk the holes in the bottom of the puck and bolted up through with a flat head cap screw, filed off the protruding threaded ends of the cap screw, and touched up the paint.

It works well and has a nice soft feel when you set the bike down on the stand. It feels sturdy and gives me the impression that it will last.  Time will tell.

Platform shoes shoe for your FJ???  I dunno...

Actually, that looks pretty slick.  I may have to try that.

You did and there's no need to wait to see if it lasts. it will.

The only thing I did was angle half of the bottom to sit dead flat on a hard surface and to minimise the side profile. Being screwed on, you can change it if you wish, as I did twice until I was happy with the lean angle.

Nice. As they say necessity is the mother of all invention.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely, in an attractive & well preserved body...but rather to slide in sideways, body completely worn out and and with your last dying breath screaming, "HOOOYA LIFE, lets try that again"!!!

Do you have to freeze it before you apply -- ( Hockey people are laughing now (maybe)-- non-puckers are saying Uh?)

there is this as well -- along the same lines but it costs money --- but it does have a maple leaf on it so " its worth every penny"

Just finished the F4i mod, and then I saw this. Completed it no time. Brilliant!
