Continental motion tires

I have a set of conti motions and it appears the treads are running in opposite directions.
Is this how there supposed to run?
Could someone who has these tires please post a picture of them on there bikes?

There will be an arrow and/or a written instruction regarding direction of rotation on the sidewall.

Yes the the tires is mounted correctly according to arrow direction but the tread runs opposite of direction.The rear tire that is mounted has the tread running the same as arrow.
So either these tires are made to run opposite on front or my front tire was stamped incorrectly.

No, the arrow is all you should be concerned with when mounting them. I mounted a new ContiMotion on my new front wheel 2 weeks ago. I saw the same thing you did. Just keep in mind that the primary longitudinal force acting on the front tire will be braking force, the rear tire will be primarily seeing forward acceleration.

Point of order, cupping in opposite directions, braking on the front, accell on the rear... Capt'n Ron are you paying attention? No he is not, he is in MOAB enjoying his other hobby that crawls over rocks....

I must say I've never bothered comparing F & R tread patterns but the tyres come out of mould, the 'stamping' can't be wrong.
If you think about it though the straight line load on each tyre is different, rear for acceleration and front for braking. Straight line performance requirements are opposite.

I have the Motions and yes, the front looks backwards, like it'll channel the water to the center. Odd that these tires look like that, but I don't ride in the rain.  :flag_of_truce:

The arrow on the side of the tire is part of the mold that made the tire.

Moab was cool in a truck but took dirt bike down there years ago and it lost some of it's sparkle. It's still fun on a four wheeler though.
