I'm a big picture taker, but on the day I only snapped a few of us hanging out at a cafe. The riding was so awe inspiring that I didn't take more as I was saturated just taking in the scenery, the roads, the jolly Fj banter, Jason's way over the top pirate bash etc etc.
Mark's brief articulation stands as far from useless, since it's a useful summary. Guess if you want to really know all about it, you'll have to jump on your bike and join us.
life without a bike is just life

OK, I'm replying to this report....  IT WAS FANTASTIC! Latrobe rd to Hwy 16 to hwy 49 to Jackson.  Then Hwy 88 to South Lake Tahoe... Mmmm Mmm.  Then West on Hwy 50 to Ice House Rd.  Left on Wentworth Springs (Man I loved that one)  Into Georgetown and off to Marshall Grade to meet Hwy 49 again.  Salmon Falls Rd into Folsom.  Great route Mark!!! Good work!  And the short day into night finish in the evening at Jason's B day party for beer, conversation and whole pig roasted on the spit.  Thanks for the invite J
By the way, ole Route 66 madman Andy did it again; he road about 500 miles total on Saturday, as his home is 100 or so miles from the ride starting grid.  He even made Jason's party, only to depart at 11:00 pm ish in the frigid air to ride another 100 miles back to his home in Napa.  I have to say I was feeling a bit guilty as Mark and I bid him farewell as we left in a warm truck.  Ha
By the way, Andy had to be awake again on Sunday morning by 5:30 or 6:00 am to pick up his other crew of runners to head to San Francisco; in which he proceeded to run in a 12k breast cancer awareness fund raiser mini marathon.  (pink gloves football fans)  You're a frigin nut Andy, but our kinda nuts.. kudos bro meister.. YE HA

Twenty-two hundred miles is a bit far to meet up for a day ride, but I have been toying with the idea of making a WCR sometime.    :wacko3:

PS: The 'useless' comment is common on another popular sport-touring BB, and is just a prod to get some pics posted...    :flag_of_truce:
