As the title asks... Anyone ever tried out one of these kits & if so what were the results?

I'm thinking of buying one of these kits for one of my bikes (1984 Honda VT500FT), but would like some feedback first. I would really like to know what kind of drilling is involved as I'm not really a big fan of irreversable modifications. My bike has had the exhaust modified with Super Trapp type of mufflers, plus I plan to modify the air intake side to allow for more flow. The carbs will need to be re-jetted & I'm thinking that a ready made kit would sure be more convenient than the old way of buying several jets & performing plug chops.

Thank you

Those are the kits, at least for the FJ, that tell you to start drilling on things like the sliders and fixed orifice jets in the carbs. Once that road has been crossed then getting back can be costly.

I know it cost one young man here quite a bit of money to get his carbs back to a point of operation.

DON'T buy from 6 sigma for jets

You might want to do some more research on the Honda forums and see what they are doing before jumping into that pool.

Now that's just about what I was looking for. Some type of independent review vs. all the positive comments provided by the seller.

Thank you. Looks like I will just have to do it the old fashioned way.
