An Early Morning Ride.

Awoke this Monday morning in the San Francisco Bay Area at about 1:00 am & 250 miles from home in far northern California.   Was out the door by 2:00 am and on the road.

I am still running the soft compound Michelins with 6,600 miles on which I rode to the ECFR and the suspension settings remain unchanged.  I plan to run the Michelins through October and the Renegade Rally.

Amazing fall weather for so late in the year; no wind across the bridges leaving the Bay Area proper nor down across the marsh flats as I head north.  There is a lonely and empty [at this hour] stretch of road.  It is surreal as things around me within the reach of the headlight appear to almost be standing still.  I glance at the speedometer and I am in the low 90's.  Ease on up to 95 mph and the ride rivals anything on the road... just incredible...

It may be 5:00 somewhere however there absolutely is no better place to be...
