1987 FZR1000 18" wheel

will a rear 1987 FZR1000 18" wheel fit a FJ1100 with a 160/60/18?
a set on ebay ending today
the front would fit with a newer FJ1200 front end...right?

If that was local to me I would purchase it.  At $80 you can't go wrong.

Yes, the front wheel with FJ rotors is a direct fit.  I don't know of anyone using the 18" rear wheel on the FJ's.  Although, I am sure it could be made to fit.  The up side is the front disc can be resold because they are a popular size, the rear disc can be used on the FJ's, and the hub is the same as the FJ's.  So at that price you can't really go wrong. IMO.

I may be the first with a 18" rear on a FJ... uncharted waters....
my 18/38 gearing may be wrong for this rear tire depending on the over all diameter

No, not the first with this 18"...... I tried this one b4 finally getting all the pieces together for the FZ1 rearend.
The 18" wheel is now tootling around New Zealand on Ned's FJ.

well for starters you will find the selection of 18" tires to be as limited as the 16" size

Don't forget, if you want to use the FZR front wheel you need to use '89 or newer FJ lower forks.

And plus one about what Frank said regarding the 18 inch rear wheel.

It sounds like I should wait on a 17" rear rim 
Since I sold my FJ turbo system I'm looking for a project
